Quick Facts:
In 2002, Ben and Patrisha Leybovich established the
Music Factory in Lima, Ohio, a 501(c)(3)
organization offering individual music instruction.
The Music Factory’s mission is to enrich the quality
of life in the West Central Ohio region by offering
standardized musical training and exposure to
excellent musical performances.
Individual instruction is available for violin,
viola, harp, voice, piano, and guitar. Kindermusik
classes are offered for children ages 0-7 years.

The Music Factory
Offers Music Instruction in Lima, Ohio
Lima, Ohio has a factory for budding musicians.
The Music Factory, established by Ben and
Patrisha Leybovich in 2002, is a non-profit
organization devoted to enriching the quality of
life in the West Central Ohio region by offering
standardized musical training and exposure to
excellent musical performances.
The school operates year round in
four 10-week sessions
with lesson
length and frequency based on the student’s age and
ability.
Tuition is based on lesson length and includes
private
lessons, theory, aural training, ensemble
opportunities, solo recitals, community outreach
performance opportunities, graduation trophies,
honors awards, and other special progress
incentives.
Executive Director Ben Leybovich serves as a violin
pedagogue along with his wife Patrisha, who is a
violin/viola pedagogue and licensed Kindermusik
educator.
The remaining faculty includes Jan Bishop - harp,
Krysten Groman - piano, Amy Phillips - voice, and Ed
Zickafoose – guitar/piano.
Ben's past orchestral engagements have included
positions as assistant principal second violin with
the Lima Symphony Orchestra, principal violist with
the CCM Philharmonia Orchestra, principal violist
with the Sorg Opera Company, section violist with
the Aspen Festival Orchestra, substitute section
violist with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and the
Dayton Philharmonic.
Patrisha's orchestral engagements include Assistant
Principal with the Lima Symphony Orchestra, section
violist with the Columbus Symphony, the CCM
Philharmonia, and the Aspen Festival Orchestra. She
and her husband also perform as the Bellissimo
String Duo.
Since 2007, three of the principal
chairs in the Lima Area Youth Orchestra were won by
The Music Factory students and another student has
become a part-time player for the Lima Symphony
Orchestra. Additionally, The Music Factory’s current
student body of approximately eighty-four students
constitutes a growth of 400% over the past five
years.
